I have, now and again, submitted and suggested, a few different ideas when it comes to field design and layouts. (If you're interested try searching "field design" & "layouts". They are in the archives somewhere but no guarantees what results you'll get as Google seems to misplace old posts or else is too lazy to do a proper look see.)As there is usually a perfectly good reason not to be different it's sometimes a tad frustrating but as y'all know, I'm persistent.
So I thought it might be fun to post an unconventional format-formerly-known-as-xball layout and see what you think of it. I'm tying it into the first Monday Poll of the new year so you vote on it. (Monday Polls will probably be occasional items until the season hits its stride later in the year.) If you have any questions or comments please feel free to post 'em up.
Though unique the field will play. If you don't see it you'll just have to take my word for it but if you're a PSP regular you've played on fields based on some designs I've done in the past. Check it out and cast your vote.

At a practice we once through the X up on the tape on a dorito side... It was interesting to say the least haha.
The half X has a limited future; a half life if you will. Xball is gone--how long before the bunker follows?
D-side it's hard to place and keep good game flow options available.
When and where can I play this layout. I'm bored of the standard ones with the X in the center.
Swap the large dorito on the left tape with the MT on the left side about the 40 yeard line and you're golden! Really think about it... it would rock.
Crusty--this layout looks different but it was intentionally designed to play in essentially the same way everyone is used to. The idea being to demonstrate that we needn't be restricted by conventional usage. The only distinctions are how the middle bunker field plays and the fact both wires are intended to encourage up close and personal paintball.
Anonchris--two reasons why that's not a superior option (assuming you meant to swap MD with RIGHT side Mt) 1. snake side MT is also a lane blocker and the dorito wouldn't function as well in that role and 2. it's important to movement potential that players have option to be on their feet and bonus reason 3. don't want that position to be able to ignore the incoming cross field shots (tho that's partially a function of the bunkers orientation if a dorito.) :)
