Before you start complaining remember you get what you pay for. And what you get this week is your very own prediction poll. (Next week I'm thinking of doing a resolutions poll. Don't ask how that's going to work, I've no idea.) Anyway, the idea this time around is you get one vote, count 'em, one vote to predict next year's biggest winner. Hey, it could be there will be plenty of winners next year and/or plenty of losers but you only have one chance to identify who will walk away with the largest chunk of glory. Go ahead and whine. It is what it is. And if you don't believe you can go with "nobody."
As always vote early, vote often, encourage your friends to jump on the bandwagon.

Hey Baca,
Merry Ho Ho & all that seasonal stuff. Speaking of seasonal...
I'm wondering if Marc, from Grid Fighter's qualifies some where in your poll. Perhaps you are aware and just don't want this out of CEP's bag just yet. Discretion is the better part of valor, so where does this vote go?
Those guys are Canadian, right? Under "nobody" maybe?
Scotchmonster
Just kidding. I tried to keep the options fairly generic but if want to let peeps know more about Grid Fighter feel free to post some links, etc.
It's interesting that at this point (I realize there is still time for the trend to change) that no one has voted for PB Industry to be the big winner in the coming year, but several (4 at this time) have vote paintball manufacturers specifically as being the big winners in 2011.
I just wonder what reasoning those people had for doing so. Do they think that paintball play in general or at least in a good portion of the categories, is going to increase in 2011? Do they think the people that are playing are going to consume (shoot) more paint? Or maybe a combination of the two? Interesting.
Maybe the manufacturers winning has to do with consolidation in the industry. There is no doubt the pie has shrunk and will continue to shrink next year. In saying that some of the smaller and weaker companies are folding, being bought out, ect. While the Pie remains to shrink it is getting easier for some manufacturers to pick up a larger piece and force some of these smaller guys out.
P.S. Looking forward to your thoughts on Lane's email Baca.
Nobody? Eh!
It's true, Grid Fighter's is Canadian, Ontario & Quebec initially; those interested can check out 2 You Tube videos-1 has better footage, the other, a Catshack report has a limited description-imagine X-Ball amplified. I understand it too has evolved in the development to include a race to scoring format.
Schafer's observation is likely a reaction to the PSP rule changes. Lane has obviously considered all the stakeholders, and the manufacturers will benefit from longer fields and perhaps the bunker changes. The recent growth in the PALS may also contribute to more paint sales globally.
I personally voted for the rec player, that first time pulling the trigger was a blast-lets hope we keep that option open for all future sports players and that they choose this sport!
ScotchMonser, it's good that you hope that option remains available for first timers, but the poll is not who you hope will be the big winner, but who you actually believe will be the big winner. I agree and hope rec players are big winners, but I have my doubts that it will happen in 2011, although I don't think it will get much worse for rec players in 2011 either (there will probably be some marginal gains).
