In the aftermath of the Houston cancellation apparently there's a discussion going on about what to do next, if anything. Stick with a 4 event series and results or try to figure out some alternative--like doing a double event for the Pros or doubling points or some such. Personally I prefer the double event idea; playing one "event" on Thursday/Friday and the San Diego event as normal. (Though I don't even know right this moment if we could play our regular roster under those circumstances. I still prefer it.)
My second choice would be to simply go with 4 scores. I'm not a big fan of doubling the value of the SD event; the impact of that event would be totally out of whack by comparison with the other events. In a normal season each event is 20% of the season total. A 4 event season means each event is 25% while a double score would mean one event would be 40% of a season score. Don't like it.
But I ain't too worried about it whatever is decided. And I have two predictions. 1) raehl will argue in favor of a double score event and, 2) whatever happens somebody is gonna be unhappy.

Hah!
what would be logic behind doubling the last events points?
Gotcha on that one, Baca!
Not so fast, paintball. Do I have to post the link to the PBN thread where Chris does advocate double points? ;-) And yes, I knew in advance he'd already argued in favor of it. (If he hadn't already got it out of his system he'd never have been able to resist.)
The logic, as best I can tell, is that after the fact those among us with a bean counter's mentality can point out the final numbers look like a regular full season result.
You said WILL argue, not did argue. Nice try though!
I'll take your word for it...I like to read about paintball without having to filter through the porn and drug stuff...
