Yeah, that's right. I'm taking a few days off. I'm not taking the laptop to Cali and, yep, I know what I said before. Get a life.
I'm not gonna make y'all go cold turkey though. There will be a couple of items posted tomorrow. A Rule of the Game item and Field Design: Phoenix 3.
Otherwise feel free to treat the comments section of this post as an OT thread. In case you feel like being marginally productive post up any topic ideas you'd like to see on our happy little blog. (When I say "our" I mean our as in I do all the work, such as it is, and you lazy slackers just hang out.) To get you started I was thinking some interviews might be of interest though why you'd want to know what somebody else thinks when I'm here all the time is beyond me. I can promise to ask some questions unlike any you've seen before.
If somebody busts open their piggy bank to check out the HB webcast I'm curious what y'all thought of it--and how it compared (afterwards) with the PSP webcast. You can post that here, too.
Guess what? The raehl faction did the USPL schedule and even with my *hint* about Infamous and X-Factor being in the same bracket and between them having 10 X-Factor players their match-up isn't their first game. Whatever.
It's gonna be interesting to see how the "gun rules" work at HB. Of course that kinda assumes there actually will be gun rules and that they aren't simply flouted, like usual.

If every pair of teams that have players that know/play with each other played their games first, everyone's games would be first. How many different teams in the USPL event have players that are on the same team in PSP events? How many teams have the same main sponsor? There's lots of association between all the teams, and scheduling isn't done by blog posts.
The teams were seeded and scheduled based on their seeds.
Chris
No, scheduling isn't done by blog post, it's done by arrogant moron.
Take a look at the rule book. 26.07 page 30
What about it?
There is nothing in the rule book that says Infamous and X-Factor are sister teams.
Jer-ry! Jer-ry! Jer-ry!
raehl,
finally you have both stateside major league paintball groups using your registration system....and you're just gonna act like you don't have access? Like you can't clearly see that half of Infamous' 7-man team are X-Factor players?
So, what's your angle?
rabble rabble rabble
who cares? it's 7 man LoL! like the ironmen said last year: we only play the nppl as practice for xball.
I didn't say I can't see it. I said players on Team A knowing players on Team B isn't a reason to make their games first as then pretty much ALL the games would have to be played first because everybody on some team knows everybody on some other team. Are we supposed to make all the Ironmen/Dynasty games first to make sure Ollie doesn't throw a game to his old teammates? Are we supposed to make all the Draxxus or KEE teams play each other first? Are we supposed to make all the teams with players from the same state play each other first?
What if I said yes...
Tournaments would finish up much quicker. All the games would be played at the beginning.
raehl,
Knowing is different that being. If you have 50% of a team rostered on another team, it may not be 100% a sister team in name, but it pretty much is for all intents and purposes.
That you chose to focus on the red herring of players knowing each other rather than players actually sharing teams, as was pointed out, shows two things.
You either intentionally ignore and twist facts to suit your own purposes -- hopefully it's just to save face, but the "why" is not the concern.
Or you are just stupid and don't understand.
It's pretty clear you're not stupid.
So why are you behaving in an unethical way?
He deliberately states his own opinion as fact, and has been doing it for years. I'm just happy someone else noticed it!
He definitely isn't stupid though....
