Duran Duran are cool. They used to cut my hair when I was a kid.
Plus, why would Duran fans object to 'object>'
Seems so inoccuous...

There is no way Chicago should have got the Olympics anyway. It rotates around continents, with a different country in that continent expected to get it each time it comes around. LA had the Olympics, by rights it should be 40 years before the US think they can get it again. Spending $1.8m of US taxpayers money to send the Obama's to Scandinavia ain't going to change hundreds of years of history. The event would be great for Rio.

Besides, Chicago is too corrupt. Not that Rio isn't, but we know for sure that Chicago's is. From what I hear many Chigagoans didn't want it anyway.

I really don't understand the comments... but Rio has one of the highest kidnapping rates in the world, so I would'nt be pointing finger at BLOGOYAVICH when you can't walk down the street in Brazil without getting a finger lopped off and wrapped in todays newspaper.

As for US only getting it once every 40 years; clearly you don't understand that we ARE half the world, and thus should get it every other olympics. China had it in '08, some other dudes have it in '12. We are past due.

What browser are you using? There's a You Tube video embedded that far as I can see everyone else can see.

Here's a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8LNbLY_Nfg&feature=player_embedded

ok, thats why then. I don't get You-tube, it's blocked, probably by the cops. They don't want Harlem educated

anyway, Brazil is the next superpower. They are 100% self-sufficient, and have fully-established industry. People do get kidnapped in Rio, but mainly during carnival. Mexico City is actually the Worlds kidnap capital. But if the Olympics were in Mexico I expect you would feel safer. For me, in-bred Xenophobia is much wider and more poignant issue than kidnapping.
