More on GI Milsim

Aight, it's time to give all you lazy slackers the answer(s) to the last Cynical VFTD Game, which, to the best of my knowledge, is where the rumor went public. Our friends over at ProPaintball have revived the Richmond Italia buys into Smart Parts rumor (first referenced here in the comments) so I figured I'd let y'all in on what VFTD has. (The demand to know has been deafening. Yeah, right.)

GI Milsim is a trademark of .50 caliber Inc. A company (apparently) located in St. Laurent and registered in Canada.

Gardner Italia Milsim is a trademark of GI Paintball, Inc. This is a separate company also registered in Canada and based in Quebec.

There was no confirmation in the info discovered that identified ownership but if Richmond and the Gardners are partners in these two companies, which appear to have been setup to do GI Milsim business, I remain unconvinced that the relationship extends into ownership of SP. But hey, who knows?

Great information. I think.

Not sure if I care who owns shares of Smart Parts or any other paintball company though.

If a company produces something that is to my liking for the price I want to pay, I'll buy it. Whether the Gardners, Italia, or Ronald McDonald own shares of the company isn't going to change anything.

Isn't St.Laurent where you have DXS and BuyPBL (a LARGE Canadian retailer/distributor)...

I don't know about great, Reiner, but it is interesting in a nuts and bolts of paintball kinda way.

The only reason this is a curiosity is because of the buy-in rumor and because this seems to be the engine behind the 50 cal push.

Don't know about St. Laurent. Wouldn't surprise me.

Or just call Richmond or Sean Scott and ask...amazing the kind of response you can get from a direct question...

No Shit Furby... All the gum flapping and the big boy doesnt know how to pick up the phone and ask?

Seriously... This whole thing sounds like the stupid rumors in highschool, and no one has the thought to make a call.. or perhaps its because in truth they are nobody talking a big game like they are a somebody, and dont have a single connection within the industry.

Well, I guess I will respond GI Milsim is a seperate business from Smart Parts. Smart Parts is in no way owned by Richmond Italia, nor is he an investor in Smart Parts.

This rumor is getting annoying... Just like we are going out of business. That was a fun one too. I also included my email if you would ever like to ask directly. Or you can call Adam or Billy anytime.

Well, the rumors squashed....what else can we speculate about now?

Gee, Dale, then why didn't we see the answer over at your place?

Thanks, Sean. I'm happy to take your word for it. (Since I didn't really believe it in the first place.) :-)

Anon, just another e-tough guy. *yawn* Nobody invited you to the party so need to hang around. And for the record the kids at ProPaintball asked.

Why would I bother, Paul? I've got bigger fish to fry than to sit around and idly speculate on the ownership of a new paintball company...I called, I asked, I got an answer and moved on.

If I reported on every rumor floating around out there, my site would be clogged with irrelevant garbage like that rumor...and to be blunt, I don't have time for it.

Yep, another e-tough guy...no sir, Im the one your mother warned you about.

If you want give me your email, I'll even send you my name and addy, we'll see who has the "toughness" to follow through, Im not that far from you either

I was speaking on subject and with my views. Your little comment shows who the "e-tough" guy is.

But apparently, Dale, you have the spare time to come here to let us all know how a professional handles things. Thanks for the pointer.

Hey e-tough
Why am I not surprised you couldn't find the email addy that's right over there on the sidebar. Consider it an intelligence test and if I don't hear from you I'll assume you failed.

Those were views? My bad. I'd be happy to explain why I did things the way I did but, darn the luck, I'm all out of crayons, safety scissors and construction paper. Maybe next time.

You seem to be handling the light work just fine, Paul...

now's a good time to remind everyone about the rule of thumb which compares fighting on the internet to participating in the special olympics...and might as well throw in the fact that reporting on something that 99.9% of the world doesn't give a ish about is light work....no matter how much time you waste doing it.

Appreciate it, Dale. Collating everybody's press releases is too much work for me.

What fight, Anon? (Or are you the new less belligerent e-tough?) I'm having a good time.

Btw, For something so insignificant and not worth anybody's time you guys are awfully obsessed. Just an observation.

Seems like the paintball pests migrated over to your site.

Don't mind the electro-rat, Dales just making a feeble attempt to shore up his blogs ever-declining traffic.

E-Thug, really? Your getting all bent out of shape over a harmless rumor? Didn't your mother teach you anything? Shame on you.

If you don't have anything nice to say, its best not to say anything at all. Same goes for reading, you don't like it, go somewhere else. You wanna get tough? Post up your email, home phone and address. Walk the walk, talk the talk.

I for one appreciate having a better understanding of whats going on in paintball.

Keep up the good work deadbox.

Did Sean Scott just say that SP are going out of business? It seems like thats what he wrote. I guess you have to be really careful what you write on the internet these days huh?
