The VIEW from around the world

Hey, kids. I finally got the Google Analytics working--not that it was hard, it was dead simple--it just took me awhile to get around to it. Besides keeping track of stuff like unique visitors and page views and all that tedious data nobody cares about except me (and even I am not all that interested) it also tells you what country your unique visitors are accessing the blog from. And that is pretty cool. 29 countries so far with the two most outlandish being South Korea and United Arab Emirates. (I'm guessing it's American servicemen stationed in those countries. If you guys see this let me know.) All the continents except Antarctica are included in the tally with the overwhelming majority of visitors being from the U.S. Even so, there are visitors from most of Euroland including Russia with Brazil and South Africa leading the way from South America and Africa. Okay, that was it. Not particularly exciting but a very slick graphic illustration of the power and potential of the world wide web. Oh, and an opportunity for me to say thanks for dropping by.

There is other solutions out there to track your RSS subscriptions as well. I would check into this to get a true accurate view of your readers and their behavior.

FYI.

I got it first time, OA. Thanks. ;-)
I think Analytics does that as well. I just found the map breakdown intriguing and to be honest, the numbers don't interest me all that much.
