Okay, this one is a glimpse into the theater of the absurd. It goes a long way though in explaining the general ineptitude of paintball bidness. At Cup a rep for one of the new batch of digital mags was making the rounds gauging interest in advertising and looking to do some video of assorted new products and the like for inclusion in the next issue. No strings attached. No quid pro quo. Where I come from that sounds quite a lot like free promotion. Slap on a link to a company website and it's all gravy. Now here's the good part – at least 50% of those approached couldn't be bothered or were too shy to appear on camera or too busy looking a gift horse in the mouth. More fodder for the graveyard of soon-to-be-forgotten paintball companies.
If it weren't so pathetic it would be hilarious.
